The Bachata Social is ON for Feb 25th!

All our regular Monday and Wednesday classes are still ON….but… certain workshops  (Dominican Bachata, Salsa Transitions and Ladies Styling) have been cancelled and rescheduled! Our ‘Speciality Workshop Instructor’, Summer has injured her knee, (possibly a meniscus tear) and will be forced to stay off her feet as much as possible.

If you have already registered for these workshops you will be contacted regarding a refund. Once Summer gets the okay for more activity then we’ll schedule the workshops for late February.

Monday: Yes there is class Monday January 30th at Fluxx – 6:00-7:00 pm Salsa, 7:00-7:30 pm Bachata.  Join Liz and Bruce for some fun times!

Wednesday: Yes, Intermediate class is back for this week, Jan the 25th!

Saturday: In FEBRUARY…4 hour Bachata transitions series from 10am – 2 pm.  Details HERE ..You Must register by Thursday 8pm!

Now, in this upcoming new year we’ve got many, many workshops planned for you… both in Salsa and Bachata.  Check back soon for details on our weekend workshop schedule! Workshops will include: ‘Ladies Spins and Styling’, ‘Transitions in Salsa’, ‘Transitions in Traditional Bachata and Dominican Bachata’. All will be held during the late morning/early afternoons of most Saturdays and Sundays.

Christmas Holiday Class Schedule: During this Christmas Holiday season we will maintain our regular schedule of Monday and Wednesday classes at Fluxx. Wednesday Dec 14th intermediate class will be the only one that will not be held. Classes will be held on mondays: December 26th and January 2nd (6:00 to 7:00 salsa class only).

Last Bachata Social of 2011: Saturday, December 17th. Join DJ Rob at the last Bachata Social of 2011. The Social is where you’ll have all the great bachata music that you won’t find in any Tucson dance clubs.  For Directions and Time Click HERE

Practice Fridays: Also, SalsaSoulseros students…..if you wish more practice time, there will be a practice session scheduled on Fridays (December 23rd and 30th) at a Secret Location!  These will be held at 8:30 -10 pm on the West side of town.  SalsaSoulseros students if would like details on the Secret Location, email salsasoulseros@gmail.com!  A contributuion of food or drink is welcomed.

Dominican Bachata Specialty Workshop:  What is Dominican Bachata?  ‘Traditional Dominican Bachata’ is mostly just footwork and lead-follow connections rather than fancy turn patterns.  The video below showcases 2 top instructors based out of Los Angeles: Jorge Contreras & Leslie Ferreira.  Our Salsa Soulseros team will be bringing out ‘Jorge Contreras’ to Tucson in early 2012 for workshops. The Salseras Self Defense class is back! Since it was such a huge sucess in september and many have asked for more… we have scheduled a special series in November…click here for details and to pre-register for the free class on the 13th.

The beginners monday class is ‘On’ for October 31st, so consider joining us for this 90 minute specialty class before you hit the streets in your costume!

Classes for UA students:

All University of Arizona students presenting a valid ID card can attend a one hour beginning class on any monday in October for just $6! So consider joining us and  find sometime away from those midterms to have some fun and ‘Dance’!
