Salsa Soulseros of Tucson

It’s only a few days until the last Saturday of April, which means it’s also only 2 days until the Bachata Social!!  This will be the final Bachata social with DJ Rob until he returns from Hawaii for the Fall semester.  Come hang out with us and practice your skills with fun music and new friends. Saturday Bachata social is FREE and starts at 7:30 pm, Info HERE

Important Announcement: Intermediate Salsa and Bachata participants in Wednesday class make sure you show up early next class, May 1st.  Our new schedule is back to our old schedule!  Salsa 6-6:45 pm, Bachata 6:45-7:30 pm @ Fluxx Studio, 416 E. 9th St.

Beginner dancers, we’ve got two more weeks of our 6 week Latin Dance session (April 29th & May 6th).  On May 13th there will be a 60 minute practice session from 6-7 pm.  This will be like a social setting playing Salsa, Merengue and bachata with us available to assist or answer any questions on technique or patterns covered in the previous 6 weeks.

No Beginner Class on Monday, May 20th.  New 6 Week Beginner Bachata focus starts on May 27th.

We here at SalsaSoulseros want to wish all of our dedicated students the best for 2013!  2012 provided us with many new friendships and wonderful experiences that makes what we do very worthwhile.  Lives have changed and bonds have been created…just wait and see what 2013 will bring.  Just ask Summer…how her life has transformed over these years. A fun fact: Summer ’s very first Salsa class was on January 25, 2001 and taught by Bruce and Jason!  Wow, 12 years of dancing!

Schedule and Rate Changes

We have changed our group class schedule a bit for this new year, as well as a new pricing system.  See changes below:

Mondays

6:00-6:45pm- Beginners Salsa

6:45-7:30 pm-  Beginners Bachata

Wednesdays 

Intermediate Salsa: 6:30 – 7:15pm

Intermediate Bachata: 7:15 – 8 pm

$7 per class or $12 for 90 minutes

@ Fluxx Studio, 416 E. 9th St.

New individuals interested in attending must first contact our chief instructor for an assessment.

Location:  for all regular weekly group classes is still at Fluxx at 416 e. 9th street, near the 4th avenue tunnel.

Cost for drop-in classes:

Exact cash appreciated, credit cards will be charged an additional $1 processing fee. No Checks taken…unless we know you well.

Per person cost:

$7 for 45 minutes

$12 for 90 minutes

Packages of 10 or 20 classes are also available.

Intermediate Students,

As mentioned in last weeks class, this Wednesday Intermediate class will be moved to Friday.

It will be held at The Historic Y, 738 N. 5th ave (in the 2nd floor lobby): 6-645 pm salsa, 645-730 pm bachata. $7 for 45 minutes, $12 for 90 minutes.

Back to regular schedule on the 30th.

Also, The BACHATA SOCIAL is on this Saturday!!! This all ages event is open to all levels of experience, even bring your non-dancing friends!  and not only is it FREE, but you’ll also hear the best Bachata music by DJ Rob.  Directions and info HERE

Mondays beginners

Classes at Fluxx, 416 E. 9th St

• Beginner Bachata 6-7 pm, $8 per person
• Beginner Salsa 7-7:30 pm, $5 per person
• $10 for entire 90 minutes
• NO CLASS Dec 24th and Dec 31st

Wednesdays advanced

• These classes were held at Fluxx but are on hold until 2013

Thursdays intermediates 

Classes at Historic Y, 738 N. 5th Ave (2nd floor lobby)

• 6-7 pm Transitions & Intermediate Salsa 6-7 pm
• 7-8 pm Transitions & Intermediate Bachata 7-8 pm
• $8 per hour or $12 for 2 hrs
• NO CLASS Dec 27th

Each month, our Monday Beginner and Thursday classes changes its latin dance focus. Here is what our schedule is for November.

Monday: Beginners @ Fluxx Studio, 416 E. 9th St.

• 6-7 pm Salsa, 7-7:30 pm Bachata.  $5/30 min, $8/60 min, $10/90 min

Wednesday: Intermediates and advanced @ Fluxx Studio, 416 E. 9th St.

• 6-6:45 pm Salsa, 6:45-7:30 pm Bachata.  $6/45 min, $10/90 min

Thursday: Transitions for experience beginners @ The Historic Y, 738 N. 5th Ave

• 7-8 pm Bachata, $8 per person

NO CLASS on Thursday, November 22nd, Thanksgiving.

Today begins a new month, and hopefully a new cooler season in Tucson!  During October our Monday Beginner Class Schedule will look like this:

6-7 pm Beginner Bachata,

7-7:30 pm  Beginner Salsa ($8 for hour, or $10 for full 90 minutes)

Also, our Thursday Transitions class will be focused on Salsa.  This class is meant for the experienced Salsa dancer prior to entering the intermediate Salsa class.  7–8 pm @ the Historic Y.
